Formerly known as Brisbane Autocare, our business was built on a simple premise: vehicles modified for accessibility and commercial transport should be engineered to handle the demands of daily use. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in vehicle modification, mechanical servicing, and fleet operation, we have grown from a trusted local workshop into a national mobility and vehicle conversion partner.
We combine deep engineering expertise with real-world operator insight. Because we operate our own fleet we’ve seen what can go wrong. That is why we intentionally over-engineer every build, using heavier-gauge steel, thicker materials, and extra structural fixings. From tour bus fitouts and wheelchair taxis, to mining vehicles and fleet maintenance, our dedicated team is committed to delivering uncompromising safety, total compliance, and exceptional customer service.
When choosing our name, we wanted something short, sharp, and aligned with where we were heading as a business. We discovered that avanço is the Portuguese word for advance, progress, and breakthrough, a perfect fit for an engineering team focused on keeping people moving forward.
The happy coincidence? A few sharp-eyed people pointed out that it also doubles as “a van Co.”
As for how to say it? While the Portuguese pronounce it ah-VAHN-soo, around our workshop we keep it simple and say it just as it looks: uh-VANK-oh.
